There are so few deliciously good surprises awaiting us, anymore. The earth has been mapped, we experience Christmas as adults and even the romantic mystery of a new date has been stripped back by the glaring openness of social media. So we decided to throw in some plot twists of our own and give our readers a bit of mystery. A surprise to look forward to each month. What I will tell you about the books you’ll receive, is that each one is carefully selected by our plot loving bookishly expert team, with you, the reader, in mind, and only books that are highly rated on Goodreads and/or Amazon are considered.

Should this be the case, please don’t worry. You can return your unread copy for a refund, or exchange it for a wild pick read instead. 

Either contact your host or pop us a message via the Contact Us page and we’ll sort that out for you.

For as long or short a time as you like. Once you’ve chosen your membership it will continue on a rolling monthly or quarterly basis, until you cancel. That can be after as little as the first month if you try it out and decide it’s not for you. There’s no ongoing commitment past the current period you’ve already paid for.

Don’t worry, we know we’re not calorie free, allergen free, perfectly baked chocolate cake. We won’t be for everyone. If we’re not for you we understand and wish you the best in all your future bookish endeavours. The link to cancel your membership is here

We completely understand how busy life can get as we’re only human too! If you find you need to dip out for a while, then you’re more than welcome to cancel your membership and rejoin again later. You’ll always be welcomed back with open arms, however we can’t hold empty spaces, so this does come with the risk of no spaces being available when you want to return.

You’re more than welcome to bring a friend along if our venue has the space capacity to accommodate extra people. The charge for non-members to join a social night is £10 and is chargeable in advance. Please contact your host to book them on and they will confirm the space and send across a one-off payment link.
